Chief is the father of Mystic, Flame, Star, & Appache. It's hard to believe that before 1994, we had no idea what a Siberian Husky was. When my daughter, Crystal, told me that she was buying a Husky pup for her husband as a wedding present, I said "What is a Siberian Husky?" Crystal only had the puppy for a few weeks when she found out that she couldn't have a big dog where they lived. They were heartbroken, but asked me to take him. After talking with my husband we agreed to take the puppy and keep him for them. We decided to name him Chief. Here is where the Lauradale Legacy begins. After having Chief for almost 2 years, and finding out how loving, loyal, and fun the breed is, we decided to buy a "few" females. Please remember that this started out as a hobby while my husband was out on the road, as he is a professional truck driver. After getting 2 females, we thought "Hmmm... Maybe just a few more." Before we knew it, we had outgrown our old building. We decided to build a kennel and of course we expanded on our furry family some more. Some dogs we have still go back to Chief on their pedigrees. Chief has 20 champions in his 5 generation pedigree.

We retired Cheif in 2001.
